Fees and Health Insurance
Talking about money can sometimes feel uncomfortable. In my experience, however, open discussion about fees and insurance is important for building a transparent and trusting therapeutic relationship. I welcome questions about cost, reimbursement, or any other financial concern, and I encourage patients to bring these topics up freely.
While some insurance plans provide limited coverage for mental health services, I am not contracted with insurance companies and do not accept direct assignment of benefits. Instead, I provide billing statements that patients can submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
My fees are set to reflect the level of care I provide, the time and attention dedicated to each session, and the ongoing training and specialization I pursue. I review and adjust fees periodically to keep pace with the demands of running a high-quality, independent practice.
If finances ever present a barrier, I invite an open conversation so that we can explore options together. My goal is to ensure that you feel both comfortable with our financial agreement and supported in the care you receive.
