Sometimes symptoms are not just problems to eliminate —they are signals pointing toward something deeper that needs understanding.

Treatment can be a place to slow down, understand what is happening underneath, and create real, lasting change.

How Working Together Typically Feels

Early on:
We focus on understanding you — not rushing to conclusions.

Over time:
We begin to notice patterns and emotional themes together.

Later:
You begin to recognize and shift patterns more naturally, inside and outside therapy.

Progress is usually gradual, meaningful, and lasting.

When Medication Is Part of Treatment …

The goal is not to change who you are. The goal is to reduce the biological barriers that make it harder to think clearly, regulate emotions, sleep, or function consistently.

Some people need medication. Some do not. Many benefit from different levels of support at different points in life.

Evaluation Process

Every evaluation is designed to be thoughtful, thorough, and individualized.
Some people need only one visit. Others benefit from a short evaluation period to fully understand symptoms, history, and treatment needs.

Adults

The evaluation process usually begins with a 60-minute initial consultation.

In some cases, 1–2 additional 50-minute follow-up evaluation visits are recommended.

At the end of the evaluation period, Dr. Reyes will provide feedback and discuss a personalized treatment plan.

Children & Adolescents

Evaluations are completed over several visits to allow for a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate understanding of the child or adolescent.

Initial Parent Consultation
The evaluation begins with a 90-minute parent meeting (without the child/adolescent present) to review developmental history, current concerns, and treatment goals.

Child / Adolescent Evaluation Visits
Dr. Reyes then meets individually with the child or adolescent for 1–3 evaluation visits (50 minutes each).

At the end of the evaluation period, Dr. Reyes will meet with parents to provide feedback and discuss a personalized treatment plan.

Fees and Insurance

Dr. Reyes accepts insurance if you have a policy that allows out-of-network benefits.   He will provide the paperwork you need to submit for reimbursement.  Your insurance company should reimburse you for some percentage of the session fee.

(There is a lot of variation from insurance plan to insurance plan on the percentage of the fee the company will reimburse, as well as on the deductible and the number of visits they will cover. You may want to call your insurance company first to find out exactly what the benefits are on your policy.)

Dr. Reyes is not an in-network provider for any managed care health insurance companies.

Dr. Reyes will discuss his fees with you during an introductory 15 min phone call.

To help determine whether this practice is the right fit for your needs, a brief 15-minute introductory phone call is available prior to scheduling a full evaluation.
